Solid punches are used for loosening frozen or tight pins and keys or knocking out rivets
Pin punches are used for driving out and removing already loosened pins and keys after initial movement by a solid punch

This full finish set of 8 includes the following sizes: 5/16" center punch, 3/8" prick punch, 3/8" (1/8" pt.)and 3/8" (3/16" pt.) solid punches, 3/8" (3/16" pt.) and 3/8" (1/4" pt.) pin punches.
